Permanent Makeup FAQs

What is permanent makeup?

Permanent makeup involves the application of pigment into the skin's dermal layer to enhance or recreate various features such as eyebrows, eyeliner, and lips. It is also known as cosmetic tattooing or micro-pigmentation.

Is permanent makeup safe?

Rest assured that while potential risks such as infection, allergic reactions, or scarring may be associated with any cosmetic procedure, our skilled and licensed professionals adhere to stringent sanitation and safety protocols, minimizing these risks for your peace of mind.

 Is permanent makeup painful?

Most of our clients describe the sensation as mild discomfort rather than pain. Topical anesthetics are applied before the procedure to minimize discomfort and ensure a more pleasant experience.

How long does permanent makeup last?

The longevity of permanent makeup varies depending on factors such as skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. On average, permanent brows can last 12-18 months, while permanent eyeliner and lip blush may last 2-5 years. Yearly touch-ups are recommended to maintain the desired look.

What should I do before my permanent makeup appointment?

Prior to your appointment, it is important to avoid alcohol, caffeine, and blood-thinning medications for at least 24 hours. It is also recommended to avoid any facial treatments or excessive sun exposure in the treated area for at least two weeks prior to your appointment.

How long does each procedure take?

Microblading typically takes 2-3 hours, permanent eyeliner 1-2 hours, and lip blush 2-3 hours. These times include consultation, numbing, and the actual procedure.

Do I get to choose the colors, shapes and style?

Each service is meticulously tailored during the consultation process to align with each client's unique profile and personal style, ensuring a professional and bespoke experience.

What is the recovery process like?

Recovery times vary depending on the procedure. For brows and eyeliner, expect minimal downtime with some redness and swelling for 1-2 days. For lip blush, swelling and redness may last 2-3 days. Full healing takes approximately 4-6 weeks, after which a touch-up may be needed.

How do I take care of my permanent makeup after the appointment?

After your procedure, it is important to keep the treated area clean and avoid picking or scratching. It is recommended to apply a healing ointment several times a day and avoid any excessive sweating or sun exposure for at least two weeks. Your technician will provide you with detailed aftercare instructions.
